This is about Hood, a band that existed in Minneapolis, MN during the year 1992.
Barely a blip on the radar, Hood included three members of the legendary God Bullies, who seemed fully capable of carrying the torch forward, as their former group seemed to be in a state of hiatus at the time. During its brief existence, Hood would later incorporate the familiar relentless bass stylings of Kristen Pfaff, although this writer was only able to catch the band on stage once before that transition took place. You blink for a moment, and everything changes. Kristen had already worked with David a year earlier in a group called Drool, and continued working with Janitor Joe for the next year before joining Hole in 1993. That same year, Tony re-surfaced in another short-lived group called Dead Rock Star, with guitarist and future LIKEHELL bandmate Matt Bockley. Things were definitely moving fast back then.
What follows is a rare live recording of the debut performance of Hood, which David B. Livingstone graciously allowed me to record back in the day, and which Tony Oliveri has generously allowed to be shared on Live Music Archive with other past, present and future fans.

David B. Livingstone [God Bullies, Drool] : guitar

To my awareness, nothing was ever officially released by Hood, although I’d be happy in this case to be proven wrong.
