This is from a cassette given to me in 1991 by Paul Dickinson, to promote the band’s excellent debut release, Rocket, which was produced at Underground Studio by Tom Roberts [AKA the future Z.Vex!]
This energetic set from the beloved Speedboat Gallery features half of the Rocket LP, and I’m not certain if that’s all they performed, or if that’s just the way this tape was compiled. I know I’d certainly like to hear more, but the rest of the tracks on this cassette were unreleased studio material, so I’m holding off on that for now.
In the meantime, if this lights your fuse, you might be interested to know that a few copies of Rocket have been spotted over at the discogs site.
